North America emerges victorious over Europe in MLG Columbus All Star match

North America All Star team wins in overtime

Last night, Team Liquid suffered a devastating loss to Luminosity Gaming in the semifinals. However, North American fans can now rejoice as the NA All Star team managed to defeat the European side in an intense match that went into overtime.

The match between North America and Europe took place on the remade Nuke map, with North America ultimately winning 22-19. It was a highly competitive affair, with players showcasing their skills not only with guns but also with the Zeus and knives. Notably, Ukrainian player Aleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev achieved a double kill with a knife in one round.

A close match on the new Nuke map

The new version of Nuke was similar to the previous one, with both teams only able to secure four rounds on the terrorist half. This may be attributed to the nature of the All Star game. On the North American side, S1mple stood out as the primary fragger, while Cloud9’s Mike “Shroud” Grzesiek and Counter Logic Gaming’s Tarik “Tarik” Celik each achieved a total of 30 kills.

As for Europe, Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund carried his team through most of the rounds and achieved the highest number of kills in the entire game. Mousesports’ star Nikola “NiKo” Kovac closely followed with 37 kills. Unfortunately for them, former FaZe Clan member Mikael “Maikelele” Bill may have been distracted after leaving his team the previous night, resulting in a below-par performance.
