Ninjas in Pyjamas secure spot in ELEAGUE Season 2 finals
After a disappointing start on day one, Ninjas in Pyjamas bounced back and secured a place in the ELEAGUE Season 2 finals.
In a rematch against G2 Esports, the Swedish team emerged victorious, claiming the second spot in Group B and advancing to the top eight.
G2 Esports also made a strong comeback after their loss to NiP. They dominated Echo Fox in the elimination match with a 16-3 win on Nuke and a 16-2 win on Dust 2. Echo Fox struggled throughout the weekend, winning only six rounds across all three maps.
Nuke was chosen as the deciding match, with Ninjas in Pyjamas securing a 16-8 victory after a strong performance on the Terrorist side. In map two, NiP started off well on G2’s pick of Train with a 9-6 first half win on the CT side. They continued their winning streak, defeating G2 Esports 16-10.
Ninjas in Pyjamas will now join reigning champions Virtus Pro, Mousesports, and Faze Clan in the quarterfinals of the $1.1 million competition.
