Mousesports Welcomes STYKO and Departs with denis

Mousesports Adds STYKO to Roster, Says Farewell to Denis

Mousesports has made a new addition to their roster, this time from the CIS region.

Martin “STYKO” Styk has joined Mousesports after leaving HellRaisers, taking the place of Denis Howell. Denis, on the other hand, is leaving the team entirely instead of becoming an inactive player. After spending two years with Mousesports, Denis has had the longest tenure of any recent player, except for Chris “chrisJ” de Jong.

This is the second player swap made by Mousesports during the August player break. Last week, they signed Miikka “suNny” Kemppi from PENTA Sports to replace Christian “loWel” Antoran on the roster. This leaves PENTA with an open spot that Denis could potentially fill after being released from Mousesports. Both loWel and Denis will now be seeking offers from other organizations as free agents.

Despite signing a new contract, STYKO expressed sentiment about leaving HellRaisers, as it is the organization where he started his professional CS:GO career.

“I felt truly at home while playing with the HellRaisers tag in front of my nickname. This is a memory that will last forever in my head,” STYKO said. In his new role with Mousesports, he will be a support player and secondary strat-caller.

Denis, on the other hand, is more optimistic about the team’s move. “It was a good time and I am thankful for it…You will see me back in action soon,” he said, hinting at another team change.

STYKO’s first event as a member of Mousesports will be at DreamHack Masters Malmö from Aug. 30 to Sept. 3, following the player break.
