Mousesports Advances to Semifinals in StarSeries Season Five
Mousesports has secured their spot in the semifinals of StarSeries Season Five after a thrilling matchup with Ninjas in Pyjamas. The intense three-map series saw Mousesports choose Mirage, Ninjas in Pyjamas opt for Inferno, and Nuke as the remaining map.

Ninjas in Pyjamas initially had the upper hand on Mirage, dominating the scoreboard even after losing the pistol round. Mousesports struggled to replicate their previous success on this map, the same one that earned them the last StarSeries title. Ultimately, Ninjas in Pyjamas emerged victorious with a 16-9 score, led by Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and Miikka “suNny” Kemppi with 27 frags each.
Inferno proved to be a closely contested match with both teams trading rounds consistently throughout the first half. However, Mousesports’ explosive T side overwhelmed Ninjas in Pyjamas in the second half, culminating in a 16-11 victory. Robin “ropz” Kool emerged as the top fragger on Inferno with 27 kills.
Mousesports dominated the early stages of Nuke, securing an impressive 8-0 lead on the CT side after winning the pistol round. Despite Ninjas in Pyjamas’ best efforts to mount a comeback, Mousesports’ well-coordinated strategies and economic advantage proved too difficult to overcome. Mousesports emerged triumphant with a final score of 16-9, thanks to outstanding performances from Tomas “oskar” Stastny and Chris “chrisJ” de Jong. Stastny showcased his versatility with both rifles and shotguns, ending with a remarkable 1.82 HLTV 2.0 rating, while de Jong secured a memorable one-vs-three clutch.
Mousesports will now face the winner of the SK Gaming vs. Natus Vincere match in the second semifinal, scheduled for tomorrow at 7am CT.
