Mousesports dominate Na’Vi in StarSeries Season 4 triumph

Mousesports reigns supreme at StarSeries season four

Mousesports has emerged as the champions of StarSeries season four after defeating Natus Vincere in a thrilling finale.

Despite the overwhelming support from the home crowd for Na’Vi, Mousesports secured a 2-1 series victory against the formidable CIS powerhouse. While Oleksander “s1mple” stood out as the most valuable player in the grand finals, Mousesports’ in-game leader Chris “chrisJ” de Jong also played a crucial role with excellent strategic instincts and impactful kills in the secondary AWP position.

An unfavourable map choice leads to Mousesports’ downfall

Mousesports made a crucial mistake by not banning Overpass, one of Na’Vi’s strongest maps. As a result, Na’Vi dominated the game and took the series lead with an impressive 11-4 T side half. Eventually, Na’Vi secured a 16-7 victory on Overpass.

Mirage delivers intense moments

Mirage proved to be the most gripping map of the series as it witnessed several unpredictable moments. Na’Vi struggled throughout the entire map, especially on their T side, which received criticism from analysts. Despite s1mple’s heroic clutches and multi-kills, the map went into overtime. After an intense battle, Mousesports secured a 22-18 victory with ChrisJ’s exceptional AWP skills outshining s1mple’s brilliant performance.

Mousesports triumphs on Train

On the third and final map, Train, Mousesports showed their dominance with an 11-4 T side score. Although Na’Vi managed to gain momentum after winning the second pistol round, Mousesports’ coordinated retakes prevented a comeback from the CIS team. The grand final concluded with Mousesports emerging victorious with a 16-9 score on Train.

Despite s1mple’s impressive performance, averaging 30 kills per map and achieving a 98 average damage per round, it wasn’t enough to secure victory for Na’Vi on their home turf. This highlights the importance of teamwork in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Mousesports displayed superior tactical prowess throughout the grand finals and their previous matches against SK Gaming, Cloud9, G2 Esports, and Team Liquid.

With this remarkable achievement, ChrisJ and his team are establishing themselves as top contenders in the competitive world of Counter-Strike. Their next challenge awaits at IEM Katowice, the upcoming international event scheduled from February 27 to March 4.
