Mixwell, loWel, and SOKER set to unite under Movistar Riders banner

Movistar Riders Signs Three Top Spanish Players for CS:GO Roster

Spanish esports organization Movistar Riders has added three prominent Spanish players to its CS:GO roster, according to sources close to the team.

Players: Oscar “Mixwell” Canellas, Christian “loWel” Garcia Antoran, and Aitor “SOKER” Fernandez will be joining Movistar. They will form an all-Spanish team with Movistar’s Alejandro “mopoz” Fernandez-Quejo Cano and potentially Alejandro “ALEX” Masanet of Giants Gaming.

This quartet will replace four out of five current players under Movistar, including Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes, Fransec “donQ” Savall Garcia, Javier “dragunov” Sanchez, and Juan Carlos “meisoN” Chacon.

According to sources familiar with the situation, Movistar is expected to announce the lineup later this week. The team is also in talks to bring back ALEX, who left the team in April and joined Giants the following week.

Mixwell’s Success and Future

This news comes just days after Mixwell won DreamHack Open Valencia with Danish team North. Sources close to Movistar confirmed that the roster had already been finalized before the event. Mixwell performed exceptionally well at the tournament, earning the fifth highest HLTV 2.0 rating at 1.26 as both an AWPer and rifler for North. However, Mixwell will not be joining North as their new fifth player. Danish AWPer Daniel Mertz is likely to resume his active role as primary AWPer, unless North finds another player to trial.

With this move, loWel and SOKER will be reunited, as they were previously teammates on Tempo Storm. While loWel stayed on the team, SOKER was replaced by Hendrik “cheti” Vallimagi. Tempo Storm has not yet qualified for an offline event with its international European lineup since rejoining CS:GO in May.

By forming an all-Spanish team, Movistar Riders will forfeit its spot in Season 28 of ESEA Premier, as mopoz will be the only remaining player from the previous lineup. The current roster is currently in 18th place in the 26-team league.
