Misfits Secures TSM’s Former CS:GO Team

Misfits Acquires Former Team SoloMid CS:GO Roster

Misfits wasted no time in picking up the former Team SoloMid CS:GO roster after the team split from the North American franchise.

After removing team captain Sean Gares about three weeks ago, TSM recently announced the release of the remaining four players from their roster. The players made it clear to both the public and the organization that they were not willing to continue playing without Gares. This left TSM with no choice but to part ways with them.

The Misfits CS:GO roster now consists of Gares, Russel “Twistzz” David Van Dulken, Skyler “Relyks” Weaver, Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan, and Hunter “SicK” Mims.

Misfits recently secured a significant investment from the NBA team Miami Heat, leading to their rapid expansion. They have recently entered the Hearthstone scene and strengthened their Smash Bros roster. Now, they are venturing into Counter-Strike for the first time.

For TSM, this move is undoubtedly a major disappointment. According to TSM’s press release, the relationship between the remaining players and the organization deteriorated following Gares’ removal.

As a result of TSM releasing their players, the team will not participate in the upcoming season of the $2 million ESL Pro League. ESL has confirmed that the league slot has been transferred to Misfits as part of the roster acquisition.
