Milestones in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

ESL One Cologne 2015: A Record-Breaking CS:GO Major Event

Last weekend, ESL hosted the world’s biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major event to date, ESL One Cologne 2015. The event saw the CS:GO community achieve remarkable milestones as it brought together fans from all corners of the globe.

Throughout the four-day event, particularly during the Grand Finals between Fnatic and Team EnVyUs, the online viewership on Twitch.tv and GOTV exceeded 1.2 million. In addition to the impressive online numbers, there were also 11,000 enthusiastic spectators watching live at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.

The CS:GO community had the opportunity to show direct support to their favorite teams and players through event stickers. This innovative concept was warmly received by the community, resulting in over $4.2 million being distributed among the competing players and organizations.

The overwhelming positive response from the CS:GO community indicates that event stickers should continue to be featured in future major competitions.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Fnatic for their victory at ESL One Cologne 2015 and express our gratitude to ESL for organizing yet another exceptional event!
