Leaking Lineup Troubles Team Liquid

The recent departure of Team Liquid’s head coach Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu isn’t very surprising given the constant changes in their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division. In the past year, Team Liquid has made several changes to their coaching staff and roster, leading many to question their approach to the game.

Looking at their history, it’s clear that Team Liquid didn’t start off as a top team. When they first entered the Counter-Strike scene in 2015 by acquiring the ex-Denial team, they didn’t have any notable achievements. They struggled to make it out of the group stages at international tournaments and had mixed results at smaller North American tournaments.

To address their middling results, Liquid made changes to their roster. They added Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and moved NAF into a backup role. However, these roster changes didn’t lead to significant improvements in their performance. Liquid continued to struggle at international tournaments and could not break out of the group stages.

Liquid’s next move was to bring in Hiko and GBJames as their new coach. While the addition of Hiko added some stability to the roster, Liquid still did not see much improvement in their results. They continued to struggle at international tournaments and failed to make it out of the group stages.

Following their disappointing performances, Liquid made another round of roster changes. They brought in s1mple and koosta to replace underperforming players. This move initially showed promise as Liquid made a deep run at the next major tournament, ESL One Cologne. However, the success was short-lived as they struggled in subsequent tournaments and failed to make it out of the group stages.

Liquid’s constant roster changes and lack of consistency led to internal tension within the team. They made more changes by bringing in Pimp and eventually parting ways with s1mple. Despite these changes, Liquid’s performance remained inconsistent, and they failed to make significant achievements at tournaments.

In recent tournaments, Liquid has shown some improvements with the addition of Peacemaker as their coach. They made a decent showing at ECS, but the true test will be how they perform in future tournaments without the guidance of Peacemaker.

Liquid’s constant roster shuffling has created a culture of uncertainty and unclear roles within the team. Without a stable roster and clear leadership, it’s difficult for Liquid to reach their full potential. However, their willingness to make bold roster moves shows their determination to improve and make a mark in the Counter-Strike scene.
