The ELEAGUE Last Chance Qualifier: Day 1 Results

Today marked the beginning of the ELEAGUE Last Chance Qualifier, the final opportunity for teams to secure their spot. Let’s dive into the action!

Renegades Sweeps Flipsid3 Tactics

The first match featured two teams vying for a spot in the qualifier: Renegades from Australia and Flipsid3 Tactics from the CIS region. After an impressive performance at ESL One Cologne, all eyes were on Flipsid3 Tactics to see if they could maintain their momentum.

In the first map, Cobblestone, Renegades, bolstered by their newest member Ricky “Rickeh” Mulholland, dominated the match. They secured a 10-5 lead in the first half and closed out the map with a resounding 16-6 victory.

Flipsid3 Tactics faced another uphill battle in the second map, Train. Despite putting up a fight, Renegades showcased their dominance once again, finishing the first half 10-5. They continued their strong performance, eventually winning the map 16-6.

Virtus.Pro Emerges Victorious Against Gambit Gaming

The second match of the day featured a rematch between Gambit Gaming and Virtus.Pro, two teams that achieved legendary status at ESL One Cologne. Only one of these teams would advance to the next stage of the qualifier.

Gambit Gaming put up a strong fight in the first half of Dust 2, trailing by only one round at 8-7. The game remained close throughout the second half, leading to overtime. Gambit started strong in overtime, but Virtus.Pro turned the tides and finished with a 19-17 victory.

On the next map, Mirage, Virtus.Pro came out swinging, dominating the first half with a 13-2 lead. They continued their dominant performance and closed out the map with a 16-3 victory.
