Koosta’s Outstanding Performance Propels Enemy to Victory in First NA CS:GO Minor

Kenneth “Koosta” Suen and Enemy Esports Triumph in North American CS:GO Minor Championship

The first-ever North American CS:GO Minor Championship has crowned its victors. Kenneth “Koosta” Suen and his team, Enemy Esports, emerged triumphant in this highly anticipated esports event.

Enemy Esports performed exceptionally well throughout the tournament, securing six map victories without a single loss. What’s even more impressive is that no opponent managed to reach 10 rounds in any of the matches played. This victory not only brings glory to the team but also grants them a spot in the MLG Columbus Major offline qualifier, where they will compete against renowned teams like Cloud9, Team Liquid, Ex-Titan, and more for a chance to win a share of the $250,000 prize pool.

Enemy Esports fought their way to the grand final by defeating EZG Esports and Leader-1 Esports in the group stage, followed by a victory against Winterfox in the semifinals. Their opponent in the grand final was Splyce, who had previously defeated OpTic Gaming, the champions of E League Road to Vegas.

The best-of-three series took place on the Cache, Inferno, and Mirage maps, but only two maps were needed. Enemy Esports dominated Splyce with convincing 16-7 and 16-9 victories, securing first place and a prize of $30,000. Koosta, the star player of Enemy Esports, delivered an exceptional performance throughout the series, amassing 67 kills while only dying 24 times. His kill-to-death ratio of 1.99 is an outstanding achievement in top-tier competition, with an average of 29 kills per map and more than one kill per round.

Although Koosta stood out as the clear MVP of the tournament, teammate Michael “Uber” Stapells also performed exceptionally well with a kill-to-death ratio of 1.6.

Looking ahead, the MLG Columbus qualifier is set to begin on February 26th. While Enemy Esports may not be the favorites to secure a spot in the major tournament, their outstanding performance in the Ohio Minor tournament is sure to catch the attention of more established teams participating in the qualifier.
