In January, a CS:GO major will be hosted by ELEAGUE.

The 10th CS:GO Major to Air on Primetime North American TV

Turner’s ELEAGUE will host the 10th Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major, making it the first major to be televised on primetime North American television.

The CS:GO Valve majors are the highest level of competition in the game. The ELEAGUE major, which will take place from January 22 to 29, will be broadcasted on both Twitch and TBS, providing a unique opportunity to reach the terrestrial TV audience.

In Turner’s official news release, Lenny Daniels, the president of Turner Sports, expressed excitement about hosting the CS:GO Major Championship and using all available resources to elevate the event.

The fact that ELEAGUE is broadcasting the major demonstrates their increasing involvement in the esports industry. Despite lower ratings for the first season of ELEAGUE’s CS:GO event, the TV network is committed to esports, with another season of CS:GO and their ongoing Overwatch debut.

Furthermore, the ELEAGUE major will span an entire week, sparking speculation about the format of Valve majors. Details about the tournament’s format and prize pool have yet to be revealed.
