‘I Would Choose to Play for SK’ – Kuben

We Interviewed Virtus.pro’s Jakub “Kuben” Gurczyński After Their Victory Against North

After their impressive win against North, we had the opportunity to speak with Jakub “Kuben” Gurczyński from Virtus.pro.

How Did Your Team Respond to the Loss Against Kinguin in China’s WESG?

In an interview, Taz mentioned that the loss to Kinguin was a wake-up call for your team. How did you react to losing to a fellow Polish team?

Kuben: “Losing to the other Polish team was painful, especially after playing against them so many times. Personally, I learned the importance of being prepared and working on in-game mistakes. We made the same mistakes we could have made against any other team, but they took advantage of the openings we gave them. Additionally, some of our players tend to get nervous quickly. I don’t think all of our players perform consistently when there is a lot of money at stake or when playing on big stages. We were simply too nervous.”

Snax’s Use of MAG7 in the Second Half of Cobblestone

What was the reason behind Snax’s use of the MAG7 in the second half of Cobblestone? Did it have anything to do with mentality?

Kuben: “He simply likes using it. When he tried it in the first round, it worked well, so he continued using it. Sometimes you have to take into account what each player prefers and do what works for them.”

The Future and Facing SK or FaZe

With tomorrow’s match against the winner of SK and FaZe on the horizon, and having played against SK numerous times in majors, as well as witnessing FaZe’s rise as a talented team, does today’s victory give you momentum going into tomorrow’s match? And which team would you prefer to play against?

Kuben: “I’m not thinking about the game just yet. I don’t know who we will face, but even though I believe FaZe will win, I would prefer to play against SK. Even if they have a substitute player, I know that FalleN is the one who makes all the strategies for the team. No matter who they choose as their fifth player, I enjoy playing against them.”
