GODSENT Knocked Out of European Minor during Initial Group Stage

The European Minor qualifier for the Boston Major

The European Minor qualifier for the Boston Major started today in Bucharest, Romania, and the GODSENT team is the first to leave the event early.

GODSENT lost their first match to AGO Gaming 16-8 on Cache, which put them in the losers’ match. They did manage to bounce back by sweeping Windigo Gaming 2-0 on Mirage and Overpass with dominant scores of 16-2 and 16-3. However, in the group decider against AGO, they lost two maps in a row, Mirage (16-13) and Cobblestone (16-5).

Simon “twist” Eliasson was the most consistent player for GODSENT in their three maps against AGO. However, his effort wasn’t enough to overcome their weak Counter-Terrorist sides, as they only averaged about three defensive round wins per half.

This will be the second consecutive Valve Major that the Swedish lineup of GODSENT will miss. The last time many of these players attended a Major was last January at the ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta, when twist, Dennis Edman, and Joakim “disco doplan” Gidetun were with Fnatic. However, Andreas “znajder” Lindberg has been with GODSENT since its founding in April 2016.

GODSENT will now focus on bouncing back from their losses at the Minor by competing in their ECS season four and ESL Pro League season six matches.
