GODSENT Discontinues CS:GO Operations

Swedish Organization GODSENT Closes Doors

GODSENT, a Swedish esports organization, has made the decision to cease its operations. This unanimous decision was reached by all parties within the organization, considering it the best solution. Despite its long-standing association with Counter-Strike legends, the organization recently experienced a separation from former team owner RFRSH Entertainment under unclear circumstances.

Red Reserve Signs GODSENT Counter-Strike Lineup

Last week, GODSENT’s CS:GO lineup joined Red Reserve, which foreshadowed the end of the organization’s two-year presence in the esports industry. Co-founder Markus “pronax” Wallsten went on to form a team with Jacob “pyth” Mourujarvi, Mikail “Maikelele” Bill, and Mattias “bENNY” Rosback under the Digital Chaos banner in May.

“We have left our small footprint inside the game for the history books and have contributed to shaping the current Swedish scene,” said pronax and co-founder Tomas Oropesa Martin in their announcement. “On the other hand, we feel that GODSENT will always be our baby, our passion, so it is sad knowing we have to let it go for now.”

GODSENT’s Valve Major debut at ELEAGUE Atlanta in January 2017 featured some of Sweden’s top players, including Jesper “JW” Wecksell, Robin “flusha” Ronnquist, Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson, Andreas “znajder” Lindberg, and Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson. However, after this quintet went their separate ways, GODSENT became a stepping stone for up-and-coming Swedish talent.

Additionally, the announcement of GODSENT’s closure has caused the price of GODSENT stickers on the Steam community market to almost double. These stickers are expected to become even rarer and increase in value over time.

“We hope that one day our illuminati-looking logo will once again surprise everyone, but until then, all we can say is farewell, friends. Much love,” expressed the co-founders.
