GODSENT and FaZe progress to ELEAGUE Major

GODSENT and FaZe Clan Qualify for ELEAGUE Major

The ELEAGUE Major qualifier has seen its first two teams secure their spots in the $1 million event. GODSENT and FaZe Clan have emerged victorious after the swiss system format, earning three wins each to secure their place among the eight teams in January’s competition.

GODSENT, the Swedish team, secured their spot by defeating G2 Esports, Team Dignitas, and Hellraisers with a 3-0 record. Hellraisers, the surprise team of the first day, are just one win away from making it to the Major.

With this win, GODSENT’s Jesper “JW” Wecksell and Robin “Flusha” Ronnquist will be competing in their tenth consecutive Major, holding an impressive record in the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

FaZe Clan also advanced to the Major by beating Immortals 16-11. On day one, FaZe Clan defeated Cloud9 and ELEAGUE Season Two champions OpTic Gaming. This marks their third consecutive Major appearance.

Unfortunately, Team Spirit, Renegades, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Counter Logic Gaming fell short in their elimination matches, ending their chances of qualifying for the Major.
