Counter-Strike’s Ninjas in Pyjamas Roster Change
One of Counter-Strike’s most historic teams, Ninjas in Pyjamas, has made a major change to its core roster. Adam Friberg will be leaving the team, as announced by the organization due to the team’s poor performances and event absences. Friberg will be replaced by Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, who previously played for Epsilon Esports. This change will reunite REZ with his old teammate, William “draken” Sundin.
NiP’s New Roster
The new Ninjas in Pyjamas roster now includes REZ, draken, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, and Richard “Xizt” Landström. The “core” of the team now consists of f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, and Xizt. Previously, the team was known for only replacing the fifth player of the roster.
Farewell to a Legend
As a part of NiP’s core quartet, friberg established himself as a Counter-Strike legend. He won over 30 championships in Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, including a major title at ESL Cologne 2014 with NiP. However, in recent times, the team has been facing struggles and unsuccessful qualifying attempts for major tournaments.
Community Calls for a Roster Shuffle
Friberg’s departure has temporarily saved the team from criticism, but the community continues to push for a Swedish roster shuffle involving NiP and GODSENT.
