Fnatic Demotes FNX from Immortals Roster

One of Brazil’s Biggest CS:GO Stars Benched

A prominent Brazilian player in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been benched.

Lincoln “fnx” Lau, a two-time Valve Major champion in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, will no longer compete with the Brazilian Immortals roster. The organization is actively seeking a permanent replacement for the player. In the meantime, the squad’s coach, Rafael “zakk” Fernandes, will fill in as the fifth member of the roster.

Fnx’s career has spanned over a decade and all three iterations of Counter-Strike. However, his most successful period came in 2016 when he achieved victory in both the MLG Columbus and ESL One Cologne Valve Majors with the current SK Gaming roster.

Despite his international accomplishments, fnx was eventually removed from the Brazilian SK Gaming roster on December 9th, 2016, after the squad failed to secure any further titles.

Upon joining Immortals, fnx’s presence contributed to the squad’s success in various competitions and made them a strong contender among North American teams vying for qualification in the upcoming PGL Major. However, internal issues within the team caused fnx’s departure. “One of the biggest obstacles we’ve encountered are internal issues that, unfortunately, affected our in-game performance,” the team explained in their announcement.
