Flipsid3 Tactics set for rebranding following new sponsorship deal

A Popular European Counter-Strike Team Rebrands with New Title Sponsor

A well-known European Counter-Strike team is undergoing a rebranding today as it welcomes a new title sponsor.

Flipsid3 Tactics, a Ukrainian team, has partnered with fantasy betting site eSportsPools. As a result, the team will now be known as Flipsid3 Tactics ESP, or F3.ESP for short, and will sport a new logo.

“[ESP’s] staff has been ahead of the curve and they are amazing people,” said Hector Rosario, the CEO of Flipsid3 Tactics, in a press release.

ESP is the third daily fantasy site to sponsor esports teams. In 2015, both DraftKings and AlphaDraft entered the space by sponsoring Counter-Strike organizations such as Cloud9, Team SoloMid, compLexity Gaming, Counter Logic Gaming, mousesports, SK Gaming, and Renegades.

While AlphaDraft’s sponsorship of Renegades is still active, DraftKings has removed the other six teams from its marketing budget due to legal issues and pending litigation in several states, as reported by the Daily Dot yesterday.

“I’m very excited to work with the Flipsid3 organization and its players,” stated Jason Fung, CMO of ESP, in a press release.

The Flipsid3 team has recently struggled in their performances. They were unable to qualify for the Intel Extreme Masters X World Championship in January, and also did not make it to DreamHack Liepzig after a loss to SK Gaming.
