Flash Gaming announced as replacement for TyLoo at the Boston Major

TyLoo Replaced by Flash Gaming at Boston Major

ELEAGUE recently confirmed that TyLoo will not be attending the upcoming Boston Major. Instead, they will be replaced by Flash Gaming.

Flash Gaming, who placed third at the Asia Minor, behind TyLoo and Renegades, has been selected as a Minor Champion/Major Challenger to take TyLoo’s spot. This will be the first time that Chinese and Malaysian players, YuLun “Summer” Cai, YuanZhang “Attacker” Sheng, Andrew “kaze” Khong, Zhe “Ayeon” Yang, and Weijlia “INNOPY” Guo, will attend a Major with a $1 million prize pool.

One possible reason for TyLoo’s absence from the Major is the inability of Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand to obtain a travel visa to the U.S. Although the team had a temporary coach, Luis “Peacemaker” Tadeu, negotiations regarding his compensation went sour, leading TyLoo to choose to miss the event.

It is unclear whether TyLoo’s in-game team and player autograph stickers will be replaced by Flash’s. Valve will likely keep TyLoo’s stickers in the game, as the Major’s opening stage is set to begin next week. This means that the Flash organization will not profit from the team’s attendance, as a portion of sticker sale profits goes directly to the teams.

Flash Gaming’s debut in high-stakes competition will be on January 12, at the New Challengers Stage of the Boston Major.
