First Batch of Teams Announced for Northern Arena

The First Four Teams Competing in 2016 Northern Arena Tournament

Team Liquid and NRG Esports from America, Team EnVyUs from France, and Heroic from Denmark have been confirmed as the first half of the teams competing in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive portion of the 2016 Northern Arena Tournament in Montreal. This international event features a prize pool of $100,000 and will showcase eight of the world’s top CS:GO teams.

Exciting Updates for the Tournament

Exciting updates have been released regarding the event. The tournament will be held at the Bell Centre in Montreal and will feature four games: CS:GO, Dota 2, Hearthstone, and Clash Royale, a mobile game making its debut in major esports competitions.

Team Lineup and Qualifications

Team EnVyUs and Liquid will make their first appearance at the event this year, while NRG and Heroic will return for another year of competition in Canada. The final four teams for the CS:GO portion have yet to be announced, but it is rumored that three will be invited and one will qualify through the Call of the North online event.
