FaZe Clan Takes the Lead in Europe’s ESL Pro League after One Week

FaZe Clan Dominates European Standings in Season Six of ESL Pro League

The European side of the CS:GO scene has just wrapped up a busy week, with FaZe Clan emerging as the leaders.

FaZe Clan currently holds the top spot in the European standings for season six of the online ESL Pro League. This diverse team of European players has earned 18 points in eight matches, boasting a 6-2 record so far. They suffered defeats against mousesports and BIG in the best-of-one matches, but also secured impressive 2-0 victories against Team EnVyUs and G2 Esports.

Fnatic, Heroic, and North are all currently tied for second place, just ahead of G2, Astralis, and Natus Vincere. If G2 had won their intense triple overtime match against mousesports earlier today, they would have joined the four-way tie for second place. However, Mouz secured a victory in the Cache game with a game-winning flank from Robin “ropz” Kool at 23-22, resulting in a final score of 25-22.

In week two, Astralis has the opportunity to make up for lost ground by facing off against more teams. On the other hand, North can solidify their lead in first place if they come out victorious against Astralis and Na’Vi. Meanwhile, FaZe Clan will have a break until week three of the ESL Pro League.

The competition in the ESL Pro League will resume on September 5 after the conclusion of DreamHack Masters Malmo, which is an offline event taking place from August 30 to September 3.
