FACEIT and Twitch Collaborate to Launch eSports Championship Series

FACEIT and Twitch Partner to Launch Revolutionary eSports Championship Series

The leading competitive gaming platform, FACEIT, and the renowned streaming platform, Twitch, have teamed up to launch the eSports Championship Series (ECS). This groundbreaking initiative aims to revolutionize the world of eSports.

FACEIT and Twitch recently announced the launch of the eSports Championship Series (ECS). This exciting venture will begin with a league for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, offering teams a unique opportunity for co-ownership.

The ECS will consist of 20 teams, with half from North America and half from Europe. These teams will compete for a whopping $3.5 million in prize money and additional financial support.

Co-founder of FACEIT, Michele Attisani, is thrilled about the potential of this league. “Players and teams are the heart of the eSports community and deserve the opportunity to reap the rewards of their hard work,” Attisani stated. “We are excited to support the first eSports league that positions teams as co-owners.”

This league will be following its own set of rules and regulations to ensure fairness and success for all participants. A governing committee, including team representatives, has been established to make decisions regarding the league’s framework, integrity, player welfare, and more.

The ECS will be exclusively streamed on Twitch, so fans can catch all the action on their favorite streaming platform. The league has already kicked off with the first game starting at 12:00 p.m. EDT.
