ELEAGUE secures sponsorship from Arby’s, Credit Karma, and Buffalo Wild Wings

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s Television Debut with ELEAGUE

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is set to make its television debut later this month with ELEAGUE. In an exciting development, three major sponsors, Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Credit Karma, have entered the esports scene by supporting this event. The sponsorships are reported to be worth $2 million each, with additional deals in progress.

Exclusive Sponsorships and Long Matches on Television

All three brands have exclusive rights in their respective categories and have committed to sponsoring not just the first ELEAGUE season but also the second. Arby’s, in particular, plans to create unique content around the event. This sponsorship announcement also sheds light on how Turner plans to balance broadcasting long matches on TV with the need for advertisements. Turner promises “uninterrupted game coverage” with limited commercial time.

Non-Endemic Sponsors Joining the Esports Industry

Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Credit Karma join the ranks of non-endemic sponsors, such as Vodafone and Mobil 1, who have recognized the potential of the esports industry. With esports projected to be a $500 million industry this year, attracting highly engaged millennial fans, more non-endemic sponsors are expected to follow suit.
