The final major of the 2015 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive season, DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, is starting in less than two days. This event will showcase the top 16 teams, including 8 qualifier teams and 8 challenger teams who have fought hard to earn their spot on the big stage.
DreamHack Cluj-Napoca is also the third Valve supported event of the 2015 season with a $250,000 prize pool.
The Format
The sixteen competing teams have been divided into four groups: Group A to Group D. The tournament will begin with a double elimination group stage, where the teams will compete in a best-of-one series. On Day 3, the decider matches will take place in a best-of-three series. Once the playoffs are determined, the single elimination bracket will start, also played in a best-of-three series format.
The Prize Pool
The tournament will feature a $250,000 prize pool, matching that of previous majors and other big events. The champions of DreamHack Cluj-Napoca will take home $100,000. Details about how the rest of the prize pool will be distributed will be announced later.
