Dennis confirms Lekr0 as in-game leader now

Ninjas in Pyjamas Prepare for European Minor with New Leader

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) are heading into the highly competitive European Minor with a new in-game leader, Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson. With Lekr0 at the helm, the team is determined to secure a spot in the final Valve Major cycle of 2018. However, some fans have expressed doubt about his ability to lead. Former in-game leader, Dennis Edman, has full confidence in Lekr0’s capabilities, according to a recent interview with .

The Challenge of Qualifying for FACEIT London Major

NiP faces tough competition at the European Minor, with prominent teams like OpTic Gaming, ENCE Esports, Team Kinguin, Red Reserve, and Sprout Esports in attendance. The upcoming week will be crucial as only two regional spots are available for the FACEIT London Major. To secure a place in the next Major, NiP will need to surpass the odds in a challenging group consisting of Red Reserve, Team Kinguin, and Sprout.

Significant Players and their Major Histories

The veteran duo of Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund and Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg from NiP have not qualified for a Major since ESL One Cologne in July 2016. Fredrik “REZ” Sterner is yet to make his mark in a Major, while Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson last participated in a Major in January at ELEAGUE Boston. Dennis Edman’s most recent Major appearance was at PGL Krakow in July last year. Although Lekr0 and Dennis have played in separate Majors with Fnatic, this is their first time competing together as a team.

Interview with Dennis Edman

In a brief exchange with , Dennis Edman discussed the qualification process for the Major, the team’s structure, and their recent progress. When asked about the pressure of qualifying, Dennis assured that NiP is not succumbing to any pressure, thanks to the change in leadership. He expressed confidence in Lekr0’s ability to lead, allowing him to focus on fragging and making plays.

Dennis went on to praise Lekr0 as the designated strat-caller, commending his progress and the team’s adaptation to his leadership. However, he mentioned that NiP is still in the process of finding their playstyle and establishing themselves as top contenders. Despite the challenges, the team has been adapting well, and the players are receptive to Lekr0’s strategy.

Whether NiP qualifies for the Major or not, they have plans to dedicate more time to playing CS:GO during the upcoming August player break.
