CS:GO’s Active Duty map pool sees Inferno replaced by Nuke

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Fans Say Goodbye to Inferno Map

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans are saying farewell to one of the most popular maps in the game’s pool. The game’s latest update has brought back the map Nuke to the active duty map pool, while Inferno has been moved to the reserve duty group.

Nuke Returns and Divides the Pro Players

Rumors of Nuke’s return have been circulating for a while, and in February, the map finally came back with an update. However, pro players and analysts have mixed opinions about this decision.

Nuke was previously removed from the active duty pool over a year ago due to stale gameplay. The map heavily favored the Counter-Terrorist side, making it difficult for the terrorists to secure rounds. Despite efforts to balance the map, the Counter-Terrorist side still has an advantage. Nuke made its comeback at MLG Columbus, where the North American All-stars defeated Europe in overtime by a score of 22-19.

However, the upcoming European Minor qualifiers will use Inferno instead of Nuke because teams haven’t had enough time to prepare for the changes. This could be the last time Inferno is used competitively, unless it gets re-released in the future.
