Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Wins Big at eSports Industry Awards

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive emerged as the champion at the recent eSports Industry Awards in London. The game was awarded the coveted title of “best eSports title of the year.” But it wasn’t just the game that received recognition, as players and personalities from the FPS title also took home additional awards.

Brazilian SK Gaming Shines at the Awards

The Brazilian team, SK Gaming, had a strong presence at the event. Marcelo “coldzera” David, a star player from the team, was honored with the “PC player of the year” award for his consistent performance and contributions throughout 2016. The team’s captain, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, also received the prestigious “eSports personality of the year” award.

EnVyUs Takes Home Best eSports Team Award

EnVyUs, a renowned eSports organization featuring their highly popular CS:GO roster, was recognized as the “best eSports team of the year.”

Other Noteworthy Winners

Auguste “Semmler” Massonnat, one half of the celebrated casting-duo in CS:GO, received the “best eSports broadcast personality” award. Richard Lewis, known for his investigative work on gambling in CS:GO, was honored as the “eSports journalist of the year.”
