CompLexity secures a spot in the FACEIT London Major ahead of eUnited

CompLexity Gaming secures spot in FACEIT London Major

CompLexity Gaming has become the second team to qualify for the FACEIT London Major in September. Led by Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz, the North American team finished in the top two in the Americas Minor, the final stage of qualification for the 13th Valve Major in CS:GO history. They secured their spot by defeating eUnited in the deciding match for the North and South American regions. Rogue Gaming was the first team to qualify, securing their spot yesterday.

Pressure mounts as coL faces off against underdog eUnited

After eUnited surprised NRG Esports by defeating them in the lower bracket of the Minor, the pressure was on for compLexity Gaming. eUnited came out on top in two out of three matches against NRG, effectively eliminating them from the Valve Major competition. However, eUnited couldn’t replicate their success against coL today.

coL dominates the match with glimmers of hope from eUnited

Throughout the majority of the match, compLexity Gaming appeared to be in control. eUnited showed moments of promise, but ultimately it was coL who prevailed. A game-winning ninja defuse from Rory “dephh” Jackson secured the win for coL in map one, Inferno, with a score of 16-10. This seemed to tilt eUnited going into map two, Mirage.

ANDROID leads the way for coL

Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor performed exceptionally well for compLexity Gaming, consistently topping the scoreboard throughout the match. With their backs against the wall, eUnited managed to win five rounds on Mirage before ultimately falling to coL with a score of 16-7. ANDROID led coL in kills, with 28 on Inferno and 21 on Mirage.

This marks the first time compLexity Gaming has qualified for a Major since 2014’s EMS Katowice Major. In 2014, coL was home to NA legends such as Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert, Sean “sgares” Gares, and Spencer “Hiko” Martin. With stanislaw now leading the team, it appears to be a new era for compLexity Gaming, after years of struggling to reach the top of North America in Major tournaments.
