Coach of SK Gaming Resigns to Join Immortals eSports Team

Top-Ranked CS:GO Coach Leaves SK Gaming to Become a Player

The coach of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team has left to pursue a career as a player.

Wilton “Zews” de Almeida Prado, previously a coach for SK Gaming, will now be playing for Immortals after spending a year with SK Gaming. Zews played a major role in SK Gaming’s rise to the top of CS:GO, and when the opportunity to lead and play for a top team arose, he couldn’t resist.

In a statement, Zews said, “The dream to play is always there. After learning that the Immortals players wanted me to lead them, that dream was reignited instantly.” With SK Gaming, Zews played a key role in winning the two most recent Valve majors, an accomplishment achieved by only two other teams in history. Despite having made his own mark with the world-leading Brazilian roster, Zews sees the Immortals’ offer as a new challenge and a chance to fulfill his dream of playing.

SHOOWTiME, who was part of Immortals’ recent victory at DreamHack Summer, will be replaced by Zews. Immortals CEO Noah Whinston will also be assisting SHOOWTiME in exploring other opportunities with interested organizations.
