Astralis emerges victorious over Na’Vi at DreamHack Masters Marseille

Astralis Crowned Champions at DreamHack Masters Marseille

Astralis has emerged as the champions of DreamHack Masters Marseille, solidifying their position as the best team in the game. They dominated the playoffs, defeating top teams like FaZe Clan, Fnatic, and Natus Vincere to win the $250,000 event in Marseille, France.

Finals Victory Against Na’Vi

The grand finals saw Astralis face off against CIS team Na’Vi. Astralis won convincingly on map one, Nuke, with a scoreline of 16-4. Despite Astralis’ dominant performance, s1mple from Na’Vi still managed to kill 22 opponents and achieve a high rating of 1.48. Astralis’s xyp9x also pulled off an impressive 1v3 clutch to secure the win on Nuke.

Na’Vi fought back on Inferno, but Astralis’s tactical prowess proved too much for them. With important contributions from gla1ve and Magisk, Astralis gained the upper hand and maintained their momentum. In the end, Astralis swept Na’Vi 2-0, with gla1ve earning the grand finals MVP title and s1mple receiving the HLTV MVP award for his incredible consistency throughout the event.

Semifinals

In the semifinals, Na’Vi faced off against Gambit Esports. Na’Vi emerged victorious on Nuke with a score of 16-7, and continued their success on Train with a 16-12 win.

Astralis battled against Fnatic in the other semifinal match. They dominated on Overpass with a 16-5 victory and secured the win on Mirage with a score of 16-12.

Return to Dominance

This championship win marks Astralis’ first victory since the IEM Katowice in February 2017. After a decline in performance in the latter half of 2017, Astralis has regained their dominance in Counter-Strike with the addition of Magisk to the team, who replaced Markus Kjaerbye.

With this win, Astralis has solidified their position as a formidable force in CS:GO competition. They will be the team to watch at the upcoming ESL Pro League Season Seven Finals, taking place from May 14 to 20 in Dallas.
