AdreN’s Future Endeavors

AdreN’s Next Move

What will adreN do now that MLG Columbus is over?

MLG Columbus turned out differently for Team Liquid’s Eric “adreN” Hoag than expected. Instead of being carried by his teammates, adreN emerged as one of Liquid’s best players. He had impressive performances in the group stages, helping Liquid secure a first place seeding. While he struggled in the semi-finals, adreN showed that he still has the skill to compete with the best. Now, let’s look at some possible options for adreN.

Re-Join Liquid

Many fans are wondering if adreN will earn his spot back in Team Liquid. One possibility is s1mple’s impressive showing with the AWP. If Liquid decides to make s1mple their main AWP, it could open the door for adreN to rejoin as a support player. However, there has been no indication from Liquid’s players regarding this possibility. The core 4 of Liquid will likely discuss this issue soon and if s1mple prefers adreN as the main AWP, the rest of the team may follow suit.

Joining TSM

Since adreN got removed from Liquid’s active roster, he has been standing in/on trial for TSM. Assuming adreN doesn’t get an offer to rejoin Liquid, joining TSM is the most likely option. TSM has performed well with adreN during his trial period, so there’s a high chance they’ll ask him to become a full-time player. The only potential problem is that adreN would be unable to play in the next minor tournament. Despite this, joining TSM seems like a straightforward option for adreN.

Joining Cloud9

If adreN doesn’t get an offer from Liquid, Cloud9 would be a great destination for him. With his recent impressive play and Cloud9’s struggles, adreN could potentially be offered an active roster spot. He could take on the in-game leader (IGL) role, allowing n0thing to move to a supportive role. Alternatively, adreN could come in as a rifler and assist n0thing as a smart player during practice. Adding adreN would greatly benefit Cloud9, but they need to be willing to recognize that their current roster may need adjustments. Hopefully, they won’t wait too long to make changes and give adreN an offer.
