T1 kick off MSI 2023 with second-fastest international game in LoL esports history

T1 Dominates MAD Lions at 2023 Mid-Season Invitational

The third day of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational showcased the dominance of T1, leaving European League of Legends fans disappointed. Despite a strong start by MAD Lions in game one, T1 quickly bounced back and took control of the series.

MAD Lions displayed an impressive performance in the first 15 minutes of the opening game, securing a 7,000 gold lead. However, T1 turned the tides with strategic plays and stolen objectives. Their AD carry, Gumayusi, proved to be a force to be reckoned with, carrying the team to victory. Faker also showcased his versatility in the mid lane, excelling on various champions.

The series continued to go downhill for MAD Lions, as they made mistakes and struggled to regain control. T1’s macro play and Gumayusi’s exceptional performance led to a quick and decisive victory in the third game, making it the second-fastest win in international LoL esports history.

MAD Lions now face G2 Esports in the lower bracket, while T1 prepares for a rematch against Gen.G in the 2023 LCK Spring Finals. Stay tuned for more exciting matches throughout MSI 2023.
