Ways to Stream the LMS Games

The summer season of the League of Legends Master Series (LMS) is currently underway. It features eight teams from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The Flash Wolves, who have won five straight championships, are the team to beat this season. However, teams like MAD Team and Hong Kong Attitude are also strong contenders. Veteran teams AHQ and G-Rex, on the other hand, have fallen from grace.

The LMS is not as popular in the Western scene, so when international tournaments come around, many viewers are unfamiliar with the region’s representatives. To help you get acquainted with the LMS, we’ve put together a viewer guide for the upcoming World Championships.

Stream:
Unlike the North American or European LCS, the LMS is not streamed on Twitch. Instead, you can watch it on Live Garena.

Teams:
The LMS features eight of the best teams from the East Asia region. Unlike the NA LCS, there is a promotion and relegation system in place. At the end of each split, the team with the worst record in the LMS plays against the best team from the ECS, the region’s version of the Challenger series. Previously, the bottom two teams in the LMS faced the top two from the ECS.

Here are the teams currently participating in the LMS:

– Flash Wolves
– MAD Team
– J Team
– Hong Kong Attitude
– Team Afro
– ahq e-Sports Club
– Machi Esports
– G-Rex

Schedule:
The LMS runs for eight weeks, starting on Saturday, June 23. There are eight games played each week, with two games per day from Thursdays to Sundays. Matches start at around 3am CT, and the playoffs begin in late August.

Participants play in a double round-robin format, meaning each team plays each other twice per season. At the end of the split, the top four teams advance to the playoffs and are seeded based on their records.

The bottom two seeds compete in the first round, and the winner advances to face the second seed. The winner of the semifinals then faces the number one seed team in the finals. All playoff matches are best of five series.

This format differs from the NA and EU LCS playoffs, where the top regular season teams are directly seeded into the second round. In the LMS, a great regular season run gives teams a greater advantage, potentially allowing them to skip straight to the finals.

The Flash Wolves have been dominant in the region for years and are looking to continue their streak of success this split.
