Report: Former LEC champion set to join Heretics’ main roster for 2023 Summer Split

Team Heretics to Add Former Champion to LEC Roster for 2023 Summer Split

Team Heretics is planning to make changes to its LEC roster for the upcoming 2023 Summer Split by welcoming a former champion to the team.

Flakked, previously a member of Heretics’ academy ADC, will join the main roster for the 2023 LEC Summer Split, as confirmed by Blix.GG’s Marián “Eros” Stoica on May 7. He will replace Jackseptra, who will return to the academy team.

Should this move become official, Flakked will reunite with Jankos, his former teammate from their victory in the 2022 LEC Spring Split. Although Flakked had the opportunity to compete in the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational and Worlds 2022 with G2, the team was unable to meet expectations against their Eastern rivals.

Heretics’ performance this season has been lackluster, as they advanced to the Group Stage in the Winter Split but failed to do so in the Spring Split, finishing in ninth place. It is unsurprising that they are seeking to revamp their roster before the 2023 LEC Summer Split.

In the 2023 LEC Spring Season, Jackspektra achieved a KDA of 4.4, which was the fifth-highest among AD carry players, according to League of Legends stat site Oracle’s Elixir.

It remains to be confirmed whether Flakked will be promoted to the main roster or if there will be additional changes to Heretics’ lineup for the Summer Split.
