Sneaky set to play mid lane for Cloud9’s LCS team this weekend

Cloud9 Brings Sneaky Back to Starting Lineup as Mid Lane

C9 CEO and founder Jack Etienne’s romantic gesture to have Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi rejoin the starting roster may just save the team from their worst start in NA LCS history. Sneaky’s return was confirmed during Cloud9’s Academy broadcast yesterday.

After yesterday’s academy match, Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer returned to the B-team while Nicolaj Jensen and Andy “Smoothie” Ta rejoined the LCS team in week three. Now, Sneaky will play as the team’s mid laner, with Jensen in the bottom lane alongside Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam, the Academy support.

While fans are excited to see the original C9 team back together (mostly), the situation is a bit unfortunate for Goldenglue. Despite being the best out of the three subs brought up at the beginning of the split, he will have to step aside this time. However, his impressive performance this year could potentially garner interest from other LCS teams for a trade.

C9’s first game with Sneaky back in the starting lineup is against FlyQuest tomorrow at 8pm CT.

Update July 13, 12:22pm CT: Cloud9’s broadcast team confirmed the starting lineup during the Academy stream yesterday.
