Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is one of the most promising professional CS2 players right now. He captured the attention of a wider audience with his incredible performance at IEM Katowice 2024. What makes donk even more impressive is that he is only 17 years old and has been playing the game since he was a child.
Even with his newfound fame, donk chose to stick with his original Twitch account, which he created before he turned 13. However, this decision led to a retroactive check by Twitch, resulting in a ban from the platform. It’s not uncommon for Twitch to take such actions, and bans like this usually prevent the player from returning or appearing on other streamers’ shows indefinitely.
Donk quietly announced his ban on May 7 on his X account, but neither he nor Twitch have provided further comments on the situation or whether he will be reinstated on the platform. Fans on social media are already suggesting that donk should consider moving to other streaming services like YouTube and Kick, although there is no official information regarding any potential move as of now.
Since his impressive performance at IEM Katowice 2024, donk has been dominating the CS2 scene. He even became the youngest HLTV MVP at a “Big Event” and is the second-youngest in history. While Team Spirit didn’t achieve a significant finish at the first CS2 major in Copenhagen, donk’s career is just getting started, regardless of the Twitch ban.
