Riot Games’ Artist Unveils Captivating Spirit Blossom Irelia Artwork, Yet Unlikely for League’s Immediate Release

Riot Games has recently unveiled Spirit Blossom skins in League of Legends, but surprisingly, Irelia has not received one despite her deep connection to the skin line’s lore.

However, one of the developers, Bo Chen, a senior illustrator at Riot, has created a stunning splash art of what the Irelia skin could look like. Players can find the detailed concept art on ArtStation.

The Irelia concept follows the theme of the Spirit Blossom collection, featuring light colors such as white, pink, and red. The splash art showcases Irelia’s outfit against a background adorned with touches of purple and gold. In addition, the background also includes two other champions from the Spirit Blossom line, Yone and Yasuo.

The Spirit Blossom lore is centered around an ancient festival celebrated in Ionia, which is Irelia’s homeland. The festival commemorates the return of the deceased to their loved ones. Champions in the Spirit Blossom skin line belong to either the Kanmei or Akana groups, each with their own unique approach to the festival.

The Kanmei champions uphold and protect the tradition, peacefully wandering the Spirit world as ghosts. On the other hand, the Akana group consists of champions who cannot let go of the past, are drawn to darkness, or simply haunt the spiritual afterlife. In the fan art, Irelia is depicted alongside Yasuo and Yone, who belong to the Kanmei group, implying that she is also part of this group.

With this stunning fan art, fans can imagine what a Spirit Blossom skin for Irelia might look like, even if it isn’t officially released by Riot Games.
