Update for Dota Underlords to Enhance Dragon Abilities

Valve’s game Dota Underlords is receiving a balance update today. This is the first update since the game went out of closed beta and became available on mobile and Steam. The update was originally scheduled for last night but was postponed to today without any known reason.

The focus of the update is to balance out heroes and Alliances that are either too strong or too weak. Valve has already revealed one of the buffs in advance, which is for the Dragon Alliance.

The update will allow players to trigger the Dragon Alliance bonus with only two Dragon units instead of three. This means that players no longer need all three Dragon units to activate the bonus, and they can trigger it earlier in the game. Additionally, heroes from the Dragon Alliance will unlock an additional ability, making them the only heroes in Underlords with two abilities. Dragon Knight, Puck, and Viper will gain new abilities upon activating the Alliance bonus.

Dragon Knight will also receive a significant buff where he will start the match in Dragon Form immediately when the Dragon synergy is active, without needing to farm mana to transform.

These are just a few of the changes in the update. Valve hinted that Keeper of the Light might be getting weaker in this patch, as they mentioned “Keeper of the Light’s horse is more powerful than we anticipated.” Keeper of the Light is an essential hero in Mage builds, which have been dominant in all levels of play.

Overall, this balance update aims to bring more equilibrium to Dota Underlords and address any imbalances in heroes and Alliances.
