Fnatic’s top laner, Oscarinin, discovers Rekkles’ role swap through Twitter reveal

Fnatic’s Newest Player Claims Lack of Communication Regarding Rekkles’ Role Change and Departure

Fnatic’s top laner, Óscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz Jiménez, has revealed that he was not informed about his teammate Martin “Rekkles” Larsson’s role change and departure from the team before it was made public.

During an appearance on JordiLMK’s Twitch stream, Oscarinin expressed surprise at discovering Rekkles’ decision to switch roles and leave Fnatic through a video posted by Rekkles on Twitter and Fnatic’s official announcement.

“I was a bit surprised as well, I didn’t necessarily know much before that,” Oscarinin said. “I was chilling in my house, went on Twitter to see this video of Rekkles saying he was switching to support, and heard myself say ‘what’s happening?'”

Rekkles, who returned to the LEC after competing in EMEA Masters, had voiced his feelings of being “stuck” as an ADC player. Despite his experience and multiple titles in Europe, neither Rekkles nor Fnatic managed to qualify for this year’s Playoffs brackets.

Fnatic later provided more information about Rekkles’ role swap, clarifying that he would no longer be a part of the team. It remains uncertain which team Rekkles will join or which ADC Fnatic will recruit for the Summer Split in an effort to reclaim their past success.

has contacted Oscarinin and Fnatic for further clarification on whether the team members were informed about these changes before they were announced to the public.
