How can we commemorate the legacy of the Flash Wolves?

League of Legends has been dominated by five major regions: Korea, China, North America, Europe, and the LMS. The LMS, however, is mostly known for one team: Flash Wolves. But now, it seems like the end of an era as their core players consider offers elsewhere.

So how should we remember the Flash Wolves? As a team that carried their region with pride but couldn’t break through when it mattered? The answer lies somewhere in between.

We’ll always have Paris

In 2015, at Worlds in Paris, the Flash Wolves made their mark on the international stage. Led by star players Karsa and Maple, they took first place in their group. However, despite their occasional success, they couldn’t contend for championships and often lost to inferior opponents from other regions.

Holding on too long

The first blow came when Karsa left for China. Flash Wolves struggled to survive without their star jungler, and although they had standout performances, they couldn’t maintain their success. They held on too long to their strategies, refusing to adapt and learn from other teams.

What it all means

Flash Wolves have proven themselves to be one of the top teams in the world, but they couldn’t keep up when faced with teams consistently at their level. Their own obstinance ultimately doomed them. The LMS region, unlike the LCS teams, doesn’t import stars from Korea, making Flash Wolves’ achievements even more impressive.

Flash Wolves should be remembered as a team that built around their core and gave millions of Taiwanese fans something to cheer for. Despite the odds, they never gave up. That may not mean much to fans from other regions, but it should be enough for them.
