Pokémon Go is celebrating its seventh birthday! From July 6 to 12, players can enjoy loads of special content. Expect new research tasks, rare Pokémon sightings, and more fun ways to celebrate.
Starter Pokémon Take Center Stage
During this event, you’ll see Starter Pokémon from Gen I to VII everywhere. It’ll be easier to catch them than usual. Look out for specific Pokémon appearing more on certain days. Plus, the Legendary Birds from Kanto—Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres—will show up in five-star raids.
Special Research for Extra Rewards
Players can buy a $5 ticket for a unique Masterwork Research. It’s a revamped version of the 2021 Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto research. The tasks and rewards are the same, but you now get a guaranteed Shiny Mew for completing it. While the price may deter some free-to-play fans, the rewards are worth it for dedicated players. Just remember, finishing these tasks will take some time, so don’t expect quick rewards.
Another option is the $2 Timed Research. It’s easier and also offers great rewards.
