One Ability in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Appears Extremely Toxic

The latest trailer for “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Violet” DLC, “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,” brought us exciting news. It introduced a game-changing new ability. Let’s dive in!

New Trio Shakes Things Up

The DLC announced three new characters: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. They come with a strong ability called Toxic Chain. This info comes straight from the official “Scarlet” and “Violet” website.

Toxic Chain: A Game Changer

Toxic Chain is an upgrade to Poison Touch. Poison Touch can poison the target with a physical hit. But, Toxic Chain does more. It can badly poison the target without needing a physical hit.

Fans are buzzing about Toxic Chain. They think it’s a buffed poison touch that works even with special attacks. It’s going to be tough for any Pokémon to switch into. People can’t wait to use these three.

Screenshots showed Fezandipiti using Air Slash, a non-contact special attack. This activated Toxic Chain. We’re not sure if this ability works only with special or non-contact moves. Or, if it also works with physical and contact moves. The chance of it activating could be 30-percent, like Poison Touch. But, it could be higher or lower.

What This Ability Means for the Game

From a competitive view, Toxic Chain could really change the game. If Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti become legal in places like VGC, players might use more stalling tactics. These go well with the extra damage Toxic Chain causes. We might also see more Poison or Steel types. They are immune to the ability.

Glimmora’s Toxic Debris ability was cool when it first came out. But Toxic Chain might be taking the lead now.

This ability and the new Pokémon promise to make battles more interesting. Fans and players have a lot to look forward to with “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” DLC. Keep an eye out for more updates and strategy changes.
