How to Invite Friends to Raids in Pokémon Go

Playing Pokémon Go with Friends Just Got Easier

Pokémon Go is way more fun with friends. Thanks to Niantic, connecting with them is now easier. Since the game first came out, they’ve added cool features for us to enjoy.

Raiding Across the Globe

Raids started in the first year of Pokémon Go. They let players team up in person to beat and catch strong Pokémon. Now, this feature lets players from all over the world join forces, even from afar.

To invite friends to Raids from far away, you need to add them as friends. Niantic made this feature better over time. It gives rewards like items and experience for playing with friends. When the pandemic hit, they gave out Remote Raid Passes for free. But, that has changed. Now, you have to buy them in the game for 195 PokéCoins each or 525 PokéCoins for three.

Limits and Prices Go Up

Players can now only do five Remote Raids a day. Niantic did this because they want players to go outside and meet others. They’ve set this limit and raised the prices of the Remote Raid Passes.

How to Invite Friends to Raids

Ready to invite your friends to battle in Raids? Here’s how. When you’re at a Gym with an active Raid, enter the lobby. Look for a plus button on the right, above the Pokémon icons. Click it to invite up to five friends to join you.

Your friends can join by clicking the invite at the bottom right of their screen. But, they need a Remote Raid Pass and must join quickly before the queue closes.

Remember, you can only invite up to five friends per Raid. If you want to change who you invited, leave the lobby and come back. Then, you can pick another five friends. Keep in mind, players must be at least level five to join Raids. If they’re not, you can’t invite them, no matter where the Raid is.

Playing Pokémon Go is all about fun with friends. With these tips, teaming up for Raids is now super easy. Enjoy battling and catching Pokémon together, no matter where you are!
