Pokémon World Champion Teams Up With Twitch Rivals
Last month, Pokémon champ Wolfe “Wolfey” Glick shared big news. He’s teaming up with Twitch Rivals for a laid-back Pokémon battle. Today, he gave us all the juicy details.
Join the Battle
The Pokémon Twitch Rivals event is set for March 22 to 23, welcoming 64 players. To join, you need to be a Twitch affiliate or partner. So, if you’ve got what it takes, sign up!
How It Works
Here’s the scoop from Twitch’s schedule: On Day One, players will dive into the game and put together their teams. Day Two is all about the battles. Players start in round-robin groups. Then, based on their scores, they split into four divisions. Each division has a single elimination bracket to crown the champs.
Not Wolfey’s First Rodeo
Wolfey isn’t new to hosting Pokémon matches. Two months ago, he put on the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Invitational. Stars like Ludwig, Sykkuno, and LilyPichu made it a blast. It was all about fun, not who knew the VGC format best.
Pokémon Twitch Rivals aims to be just as fun. We don’t know who will fight yet, but expect awesome matches and Wolfey’s great commentary. Mark your calendar for March 22 and 23. Don’t miss out!
