Latest Pokémon Updates: Go Players Enjoy New Debuts, Scarlet and Violet Online Tournament Launches

Festival of Colors and More in Pokémon Go

This month, Pokémon Go welcomes spring with its Festival of Colors event. Players can look forward to the debut of Bruxish and Mega Medicham. The latter will show up in Mega Raids. Plus, get ready for a double Community Day too.

Apart from this, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are hosting their first official online tournament. It’s a chance for players to show their skills outside of ranked battles.

However, a glitch in the crossover between Pokémon Go and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is erasing some players’ save data, with no known fix yet.

What’s Happening in March?

The Festival of Colors runs from March 8 to 14. Catch the new Bruxish and Mega Medicham then. Bruxish will stay after the event, but Mega Medicham will only be in Mega Raids for a limited time.

You’ll also see other Pokémon like Espurr and Ho-Oh in raids. Exciting, right?

Don’t miss the Community Day on March 18, featuring Slowpoke and its Galarian version, right after the festival.

Scarlet and Violet’s First Online Tournament

Players worldwide have competed in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet tournaments since their launch. The 2023 World Championship in Japan is also coming up.

Yet, there hasn’t been an online tournament until now. The Paldea Prologue Online Tournament gives everyone a chance to compete. It’s happening from March 10 to 12, and you can sign up now.

Problems with the Go and Scarlet/Violet Crossover

Some players’ saved data on the Nintendo Switch got wiped due to the crossover. More gamers are facing this issue after sending a Postcard between the games, leading to corrupted save data.

No one knows why this is happening. There’s no fix yet, but everyone is hoping for a solution soon.
