Every Returning Pokémon for Scarlet and Violet DLC Revealed, Some Notable Names Absent

Pokémon Day brought us lots of cool news, and one of the biggest highlights was that Nintendo and Game Freak are releasing a new DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This DLC, called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, will come out in two parts. Part One: The Teal Mask drops in Fall 2023, and Part Two: The Indigo Disk lands in Winter 2023.

New Adventures Await

Each part of the DLC not only brings a fresh story but also adds over 230 Pokémon from older generations into the Gen IX games. The official Pokémon press site has started to share names of some Pokémon making a comeback.

Huge Leak Alert

A dataminer named MattYouKhana spilled a massive list of 223 Pokémon coming back. This list includes all the starter Pokémon from each generation, except Gen V, which has some fans guessing a Pokémon Black and White remake might be coming. MattYouKhana’s tweet makes it clear that this list could still change, but it also hints at the exciting possibility of these returnees.

Besides the starters, fans will be happy to see favorites like Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and many others making their return. However, not all Pokémon made the cut – the list misses out on characters like Rattata, Machop, and a few more, leaving some fans disappointed.

Hopeful Yet Realistic

MattYouKhana has mentioned that the list is tentative and could change. Given it matches the official announcement pretty closely, there’s a good chance we’ll see most of these Pokémon in the DLC. This news has got many fans excited as they look forward to reuniting with some of their beloved Pokémon. Although we won’t get the entire National PokéDex, the number of additions is still impressive.

Pokémon fans, get ready for a trip down memory lane with The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. It’s set to make the later part of 2023 a thrilling time for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players. With new stories and hundreds of Pokémon making a comeback, the adventure is just getting started.
