Pokémon Scarlet and Violet player uncovers that Shinies can be concealed by peculiar visual glitch

Finding Shiny Pokémon Just Got Trickier

Trying to get Shiny Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet already takes a lot of time. Even with Sparking Power Sandwiches and a Shiny Charm to help, it’s tough.

A strange visual glitch is making it even harder for many players. It turns the Pokémon invisible, hiding it behind a really thin tree.

The only way to know a Pokémon is there is by bumping into it. This starts a battle, and the Pokémon pops up, surprising you.

Thankfully, this glitch does not hide if the Pokémon is Shiny. The special animation still plays when the Pokémon shows up.

Not the Only Glitch Out There

Players have found many glitches in the game, including some really weird ones. A fix is expected in this month’s update.

One funny but annoying glitch happened while a player was looking for Shiny Pokémon. They made a sandwich to improve their odds, but it attracted too many Pokémon. A Shiny Iron Bundle showed up, but so did lots of others, blocking the player from reaching it. They missed catching the Shiny because of this.

When you think about it, the visual glitch is not as bad as getting mobbed by too many Pokémon.
