Is the Recover TM Available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Explained

Revive Your Pokémon with Recover

Recover is an awesome move that boosts your Pokémon’s max HP by 50%. It helps your Pokémon stay in the fight and cause more trouble on the field. Lately, this move has been a game-changer in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Sadly, Recover is not a Technical Machine (TM) in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This means you can’t find or make a Recover TM in the game.

Still, you can get Pokémon to use Recover in battles. Here’s how.

Level Up and Learn

The easiest way to get Recover is to catch Pokémon that learn it as they level up. But, only a few Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet can do this. They include:
– Meditite at Level 41
– Medicham at Level 47
– Shellos at Level 10
– Cryogonal at Level 44
– Bergmite at Level 30
– Avalugg at Level 30
– Mareanie at Level 20
– Toxapex at Level 20
– Appletun at Level 24
– Pincurchin at Level 30
– Nacli at Level 25
– Naclstack at Level 30
– Garganacl at Level 30
– Gholdengo at Level 42
– Chien-Pao at Level 65

Recover Through Egg Moves

Another way to get Recover is through egg moves. Some Pokémon can inherit Recover from a parent when they are bred. However, only a few Pokémon can learn Recover this way. They are:
– Wooper
– Paldean Wooper
– Sableye
– Rellor
– Rabsca
– Veluza
– Clodsire

To teach Recover to a compatible Pokémon, follow these steps. You’ll need a Pokémon that already knows Recover, like Gholdengo or Garganacl. Also, choose a Pokémon that can inherit Recover as an egg move, like Clodsire.

Head to Delibird Presents and grab a Mirror Herb. Make sure the Pokémon you want to teach Recover has an open move slot. Then, take your Pokémon, along with the one that knows Recover, to a Picnic.

After enjoying some time at the Picnic, check your compatible Pokémon. You should see it has now learned Recover through its egg move.

Final Thoughts

Even though Recover isn’t a TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can still teach it to your Pokémon. Whether through leveling up or egg moves, this powerful move can significantly impact your battles. Keep this guide handy, and your Pokémon will be recovering HP in no time!
