Pokémon Sword and Shield Online Competition “Tiny Tourney” Revealed

Pokémon Sword and Shield Tiny Tourney Online Competition Announced

Pokémon Sword and Shield trainers, get ready for the upcoming Tiny Tourney online competition! The Pokémon Company International has recently announced this exciting event, allowing trainers to test their skills with a specific set of rules. So, if you’re up for a new challenge, mark your calendars for the competition starting on August 13, 2022, at 00:00 UTC.

In this competition, trainers will only be able to use Pokémon that can be found in their initial forms and are less than one meter in height. That means no fully evolved Pokémon, legendary Pokémon, or Gigantamax forms are allowed. This rule aims to level the playing field and provide a fresh and unique experience for participants.

To participate, trainers will require a Pokémon Trainer Club account and a Nintendo Switch console with Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield. In addition, they will need to register their team of eligible Pokémon in the Battle Stadium. If you’re not familiar with the Battle Stadium, it’s a feature in the games that allows trainers to battle against players from around the world.

Registration for the Tiny Tourney competition will be open from August 5 at 00:00 UTC until August 12 at 23:59 UTC. It’s essential to register promptly to secure your spot in the competition. Once registered, the competition can be accessed by selecting “Online Competitions” from the main menu of your game.

The actual battles for the Tiny Tourney will take place on August 13 and 14, 2022. Trainers will get a total of 15 battles for the competition. However, if you achieve 12 wins before completing all 15 battles, you will be ranked based on your win percentage, number of battles played, and opponent’s win percentage. This gives trainers who perform exceptionally well a chance to climb up the ranks.

Participating in online competitions like the Tiny Tourney not only adds excitement to your Pokémon gaming journey but also gives you an opportunity to earn in-game rewards. All participants will receive 50 Battle Points. Furthermore, the top players will have a chance to qualify for the Players Cup IV—another prestigious competition on the horizon.

So, Pokémon trainers, get your teams ready and prepare for the Tiny Tourney online competition. It’s time to demonstrate your skills, develop new strategies, and have an unforgettable Pokémon battle experience. Don’t miss out! Register now and become the ultimate Pokémon champion!
